Thursday, October 27, 2011. You are invited to try out my new adult HoopDance class for free! I am finishing up my HoopGirl dance teacher certification this month and in November I will be offering a six-class HoopDance series. The free class is your chance to see what all the hoopla is about!
Like my hoop fitness classes, this class will be about sweaty fun movement with the hoop. What’s different is that this one-hour class focuses on the dance of hooping, giving you the opportunity to increase body awareness and learn cool new hoop tricks while you are toning up. The format is closer to a dance class than an aerobics class, but you’ll still get your heart rate up. Not only will this count as your workout for the day, but also you’re likely to feel inspired to keep practicing with your own hoop at home!
Hoops will be available to borrow for class and for purchase.
- Date: Thursday, October 27, 2011
- Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
- Location: Bloom, A Movement Space, Downstairs in the Regent Street Art Center, 153 Regent Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Plenty of parking should be available on Regent Street.
Space Limited to 10 participants.
To reserve your spot add it to the shopping bag, and then check out.
Note: Be sure to choose the “FREE DEMO CLASS” payment method to complete your transaction.
What to wear: Wear comfortable, form fitting clothes for easiest hooping. Yoga clothes work nicely, as do workout shorts and a tank top or fitted t-shirt. Slippery spandex can make hoop slide right off your body and belts, jackets, and items in pockets are generally uncomfortable. Bare feet or clean, dry workout sneakers are recommended.
Note: This class is intended for adults. Mature teens who are interested in attending should have a parent or guardian email me to discuss if this class is appropriate.
**The fine print: during this class, my husband will be filming my teaching in order to fulfill my hoop teacher certification requirements. The video will not be used for other purposes. If you are uncomfortable being on camera, let me know before class, and we’ll keep you out of the shot.
